Overview
The AutoBase System was designed to meet todays need for a fast,
efficient way to add vehicle data and digital photos to the
exploding market place, on the Internet. The power of the AutoBase
system, is the fact that you actually conduct inventory and
enter new vehicles, to the system by using a palmtop computer.
The computer runs for ~2 weeks on two AA batteries and is instantly
ON (no boot time). Our tried and true process of touching each
vehicle, while entering information, is the only way (we feel)
to do the job correctly.
Our Process:
Step #1:
Walk the lot, look for Window Sticker on Vehicle...
If Yes THEN Inventory Vehicle.
If No THEN Add to System
Add
to System:
Enter VIN number and automatically get year, make, model,
engine, transmission and restraint system.
Enter color, options and snap digital photos (approx 2
minutes). Print window stickers and Buyer's Guides and
install on vehicle. |
Inventory
Vehicle:
Come upon a vehicle with a Window Sticker , enter bar
code number located on Window Sticker and
press "F3" That's It! You have just inventoried
the vehicle. (approx. 10 seconds). |
You have now completed conducting inventory and adding new vehicles
to the system.
Step #2:
Download data and digital photos from camera and palmtop to
office computer. By pressing a single key on
the palmtop, an automated process of uploading data and photos
to the AutoBase Internet Server starts.
Once our web server receives the data (~3 minutes), we automatically
publish the information to your dealerships website as well
as send your data to any Internet Automotive Buying service
the dealer is signed up with. Examples include AutoByTel, Cars.com,
Yahoo, etc.
You can now edit your information in the AutoBase provided password
protected Dealer Intranet. Once completed editing, your data
is updated on all other Internet services automatically!
